In the pandemic era, mosaic art is spreading online and is now accessible in a virtual edition. The Art in Act 008 edition, dedicated to the finalist works of the GAEM Prize in Ravenna and the mosaic deposits of the city of Teramo, will be available online starting from December 30, at 12:00 PM (http://bit.ly/artinact). This event is made possible through the close collaboration between the Cingoli and Tercas Foundations, the FAI Teramo delegation, and the Mar Museum of Ravenna.

“The annual appointment is renewed,” said Andrea Cingoli, artistic director of Art in Act, “with contemporary art and, in particular, with the expressive force of emerging artists, which the Cingoli Foundation actively promotes. This year’s edition is linked to the paradigm of evolution in mosaic art between the ancient and the modern, as well as the need to reconsider the habits and values of communication and consumption tools due to COVID-19.”

Two virtual tours will describe the dialogue between the past and present, the ancient and new values of the mosaic concept, form, language, and media. These tours will carry information and images to a more diverse audience than usual, as they are frequent internet users from all over the world. On one hand, there will be a journey through the works of the young finalists of the GAEM Prize in Ravenna, displayed at Villa Paris in Roseto degli Abruzzi. On the other hand, there will be an itinerary through the city of Teramo, featuring five sites selected by the local FAI delegation: Domus Madonna delle Grazie, Domus Piazza Sant’Anna, Domus Palazzo Melatino, Domus dei Delfini, and Domus di Bacco.
